The PresiĀdent’s Column presents four new initiatives that many of our society members have been making great efforts on: (i) ITSoc Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship; (ii) Teaching Initiative; (iii) Alumni in Industry; and (iv) Global Workshops Initiative. Next, we congratulate all the members of our community who have recently received prestigiousĀ awards and honors. We then have two reports: (1) one fom the 2022 Workshop on Information Theory and Coding for Future Wireless; and (2) the other from the 2022 Workshop on Channel Coding beyond 5G. We also have an article on a new course development regarding DNA storage and security. As usual, we continue withĀ the minutes from the Board of Governors meetingĀ that was held virtually this past October. We conclude with call for papers, conference calendar, and call for nominations.
